About Lalio Atelier and the story behind it: I’m delighted to share a little of my journey and the world that inspires my creations.
I’m Teresita, the founder, designer, and maker behind every creation you find here. From the first stitch to the final photograph, every piece is handcrafted by me with care, creativity, and attention to detail.
Originally from Mexico, I moved to Germany in 2013 after spending several years in Granada, Spain. My academic background is in the geosciences, where I earned two master’s degrees. Although I enjoyed my work in academia, I eventually felt drawn toward a more creative path.
Micro crochet became the perfect way to combine patience, craftsmanship, and imagination. What began as a lifelong love of sewing and crochet gradually grew into Lalio Atelier — a place where tiny details take centre stage.
Today, I create delicate jewellery, wearable art, and handcrafted miniatures inspired by nature, quiet moments, vintage charm, and the beauty of small things. More recently, Lalio Atelier has begun evolving into a growing miniature world, where tiny spaces, scenes, and stories come to life stitch by stitch.
Starting my own business was a leap of faith, made possible by the support of my family, who believed in me from the very beginning. It has allowed me to build a life that combines creativity, independence, and precious time with my son. Those moments matter deeply to me, because time passes quickly and every moment counts.
